The Civil War Adventure Camp site is equipped with modern full-service locker & restroom facilities, a cook house and overnight sleeping quarters, including a sixteen-person bunk house, four-person huts, Sibley tent and two-person platform tents. At the Civil War Adventure Camp recruits of all ages can get into the action through musket and bayonet drills. Operated by Pamplin Historical Park, the Civil War Adventure Camp offers a variety of activities including a field medical program, marching, and military communication exercises. Recruits will be served an authentic Civil War era breakfast and supper during their stay at the Civil War Adventure Camp. Civil War Adventure Campers can shoot reproduction
24-pounder Coehorn mortars during the Siege and Warfare program, and may drill with a reproduction rifled-musket! (ages 14 and above)
